Dubai – An Extraordinary Destination
What do skiing, falconry, musical fountains, sand dune bashing and Waitrose have in common? They can all be found in Dubai!
I have stopped off in Dubai so many times on my way back from the Indian Ocean, and have had so many extraordinary experiences there (anyone who follows me on Facebook will know the thrill that finding Waitrose gave me!) that I thought it was about time I gave my clients the opportunity to enjoy the very best that this incredible country has to offer.
With that in mind, I have recently spent close to two weeks sampling, and selecting for you, some of the most exceptional, interesting and unique hotels and resorts that Dubai has to offer, as well as taking full advantage of a range of activities that included camel safari and falconry, staying in a luxurious conservation reserve, hurtling across the desert dunes in a 4x4, then paragliding before coming to rest at a beautiful sandy beach belonging to a resort with great swimming, cycling and the finest of dining.
It is rare to come across a place where you can indulge in so many varied pursuits in one location, and perhaps rarer still to find one that has guaranteed hot weather all year round, and is directly accessible from almost every UK regional airport. To see my personal pick of the best places to stay, please visit the new Dubai section of my website where you can rest assured that every recommendation meets the Susie Freeman standard.
So, whether you’re a thrill seeker that wants to take a sea-plane over the city; a nature lover looking for the chance to explore Oman’s reef system; or a ‘bon vivant’ who wants to experience the vibrancy of a destination that really knows how to enjoy the good life, Dubai has everything you’re looking for, and more.
