One top spot is Delaire Graff Estate owned by the Graff family, with a very stylish restaurant and a wine tasting room. Nearby is Babylonstoren, an eighteenth century Cape Dutch farm whose white washed lunch restaurant in an old cowshed serves only fresh picked produce from their Versailles-style garden, which won a Tatler Travel Award for the ‘most delicious’ food in South Africa. La Motte is another super-glamorous wine estate offering some of the best cuisine in the Cape. This entire valley is foodie heaven: from the deli at Tokara winery, the cheese at Fairview, the charcuterie and wine tasting at Môreson and lunch at either La Petite Ferme or Cafe Bon Bon – you will need all the exercise you can get…A round of golf at The Pearl Valley Golf Estate is a good option!

It also has an incredibly rich heritage.
