This vibrant hotel, located on the white sand Belle Mare beach on the east coast of the island, is great for young families, with a lagoon for sea swimming (although best to bring your aqua shoes), PLAY, the kids club, which includes Teddy Tennis with Head Ted and cake decorating with Cake Boss and babysitters who accompany parents to the management cocktail. The food here is exceptional. Of four restaurants, Beach Rouge, lit blue by day and red at night, is a cool concept, which fresh-from-the-sea fish dishes and cocktails, and a DJ sound track, and Amari, the Indian Restaurant by Vineet Bhatia, is excellent. There are Latin American flavours at a Gourmet Food Truck, and. LUX* Belle Mare also has a rustic rum shack, a beer academy and a tea house.
Experiences include cooking masterclasses in the herb garden and horse riding and sunrise yoga salutations on the white sandy beach. The resort has the island’s largest swimming pool, and the terrace has a great vibe and feels Balearic by night.
The 174 spacious suites sit among delightful gardens and offer impressive views of the lagoon. Each can accommodate up to two adults and two children, and are as seductive for honeymooners as they are for families. There’s a family section with interconnecting suites near the kids club.
