Trou Aux Biches Beachcomber Golf Resort & Spa
per person
Trou aux Biches Beachcomber resort is well located on the sheltered northwest coast and you can potter into the village, be transported to Grand Baie in 15 minutes, or go on beach walks.
It has six restaurants to choose from, with food from around the globe, and I’ve seen some of the islands’ best sunsets from here.
Although not by the sea, the two- and three-bedroom family villas are excellent – private and very comfortable, and suites (some with outdoor showers) are set in a crescent of pavilions around swimming pools, meaning one is never far away. Beachfront Suites have private pools.
The Trou Aux Biches Beachcomber Resort has a large main pool, and a huge spa with individual thatched pavilions nestled amidst palm trees around a tranquil pool. The hotel offers free unlimited watersports, including waterskiing from the boathouse and paddle boarding, and complimentray use of their tennis courts. Golf is on offer at the nearby Mon Choisy 18 hole golf course.
Susie suggests:
- Walk along the beach at sunset – it stretches at least two kilometres
- Sit and have a sundowner on the beautiful beach
- Potter into Grand Baie on a local bus for a browse of the shops and a drink at one of the many cafes.
