It has only 30 breathtaking villas with 180° degree panoramic sea views, set on a steep hill (so not for those with mobility issues). Each villa comprises two separate pavilions with a cascading private infinity pool, and a glorious outdoor sunken double bathtub, and a private view of the beach. It’s premium plus all-inclusive (they call it ‘beyond all-inclusive’), and is totally tailormade. You fill in a simple form before going which covers everything from your favourite music, to your preferred tipple, and you walk in to find it, along with a 24 hour private butler. A bar is fully stocked with drinks of your choice – if that’s Champagne, you can drink it all day if you want to – and there’s a fantastic surround sound Bose music system playing your favourite tracks.
Maia offers a private dine around experience, in a different location each day – the beach, atop the helipad, or in the secluded, outdoor gazebo in your pool villa. It also offers complementary scuba diving and has a fantastic spa in a tropical rainforest, where you can hear the birds during treatments.
