The hotel
This sprawling beach resort sits close to some of the swankiest shopping, dining and golf experiences in Dubai. There’s a colonial-style splendour to the hotel, with a gleaming marble lobby, burbling fountain and huge sparkling chandelier that welcomes you inside, while spiral staircases lead out to the beach and perfect emerald lawn.
Expect spacious suites, all chestnut woods, muted beige and mustards, accented with geometric Islamic carvings on the window screens; all rooms come with their own private patio or terrace. There’s a world-class spa, six swimming pools, a brilliant Ritz Kids club with daily activities and a dedicated playroom.
Dine in Bedouin-style tents at Arabian Amaseena, the wooden pavilion of Palm Grill or at the casual pool bar La Baie. Plus there’s the clubby Library Bar for whisky and chocolate pairings and The Lobby Lounge for afternoon tea with homemade rose jam.

Head out to the Arabian desert to ride on a camel, have your hands painted with henna and get up close and personal to a falcon.
Upgrade to Club Level and you’ll be treated to unlimited premium alcoholic drinks from noon to 10pm, as well as mezze all day.
