The hotel

In a class of its own, this Tuscan-style villa lies at the heart of a private 30-acre working farm complete with vineyards, plum orchards, and fragrant manicured gardens in the beautiful Franschhoek valley, an hour’s drive from Cape Town.

The 11 suites, filled with ornate antiques, plush Persian carpets and an eclectic mix of artwork, open onto sweeping sunny balconies and verandahs leading into the garden. Splash out on the bright and airy Frangipani Suite, all white marble and gold, with a built-in king-sized bed on a heated marble plinth and a mirrored bathroom, referred to as the Versailles Bathroom.

There are two pools, a tennis court and spa, and a Rolls-Royce Silver Spirit is at your service. Enjoy breakfast, lunch or dinner at any time, with food locally-sourced or foraged from the estate’s gardens.
