We have had several wonderful holidays in South Africa and Mauritius, arranged by Susie Freeman Travel.
In South Africa, we stayed in two outstanding hotels. Ellerman House Hotel in Cape Town was pure indulgence, with a wonderful wine cellar, top quality cuisine and a quiet haven from the everyday hustle and bustle. Susie Freeman Travel arranged an upgrade so we had 4 days in a suite which even a prince would envy. Highlights at Bushman Kloof, set in a small private predator-free game reserve in the Cedarberg mountains, about 4 hours north of Cape Town are paintings by the bushmen and the peaceful wilderness. This is coupled with luxurious house with every mod con, a private pool, fabulous food and an extensive wine list and even a troop of baboons. Perfection.
We have enjoyed a number of holidays in Mauritius with Susie Freeman Travel. From the moment you fall into the arms of their organisation on the island, Coquille Bonheur, who transfer you by car or helicopter to your hotel, you can relax.
Our holidays are usually split between the Royal Palm Beachcomber in Grand Baie and Constance Prince Maurice on the east coast. Susie Freeman Travel will organise activities if you want or you can relax and enjoy the hotel. If you sail, then dinghies are on tap, along with tennis, golf, sampling local food and island rum.
Constance Prince Maurice is a wonderful place to relax, and enjoy good food. It has two superb golf courses, the Spa is excellent and the sea is warm. The service is friendly and efficient and I always feel at home here. The Royal Palm is a treat. The food is the best on the island and the service on another level. The Spa is outstanding, the pool picture perfect and breakfast on your terrace overlooking the gardens, beach and ocean is unforgettable.
We would only ever use Susie Freeman Travel for a Mauritius based holiday. They have years of experience and inside knowledge of Mauritius and their relationships with each hotel ensures you get the best experience possible.
