The hotel

This four-star all-inclusive resort is located on a 5* white-sandy beach on the east coast of Mauritius. This Island inspired hotel has a colourful décor which has been created using local furniture and crafts. C Mauritius offers fun and exciting activities. It begins on arrival, with a welcome drink from a mad scientist’s ‘concoctor’ machine. Service is personal, with charming friendly staff who are encouraged to interact with their guests. There are three infinity pools, a padel tennis court and an outdoor gym built from natural materials, while the clubhouse offers kitesurfing in the lagoon. Staff-led excursions (chargeable) include snorkelling by pirogue with the sommelier, and mountain trekking with the entertainer.

Their 116 generously sized rooms are decorated in white, each with a sea-facing terrace/balcony, and are in two-storey thatched crescents. Good choice of dining with four restaurants – the modern breezy ‘Dining Room’ which offers high-quality international buffet for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, with tables on its sea-view terrace. At lunchtime guests can opt for a picnic lunch which includes sushi and bento boxes served at their beachside deli. Or Chow & Carafe which is a deli style outlet serving speciality healthy food. For intimate à la carte dining, there is their Asian-fusion restaurant Wok’ n Roll.

This is a kitesurfers paradise in their winter months due to the perfect south easterly breeze. Combine this with a stay at their sister hotel C Rodrigues Mourouk which is also ideal for kite surfing

Tony, the sommelier, offers twice-weekly wine tastings around the resort from an organic wine cellar, and wine and food pairings on request

Visit the nearby pretty village of Trou d'eau Douce and take a boat trip over to the island of Ile aux Cerf’s
