the hotel

Situated on the northwest of the island, on an idyllic sheltered stretch of sandy beach, Trou aux Biches Resort & Spa has excellent sea swimming and is a quick potter into town. This sweeping, village-style hotel knows how to do family fun while retaining a sense of style and intimacy.

There are floodlit tennis courts, bikes to borrow, and free watersports including waterskiing from the boathouse and paddle boarding, as well as a state-of-the-art kids’ and teens’ club.

The two- and three-bedroom family villas are a great choice, set around swimming pools. Beachfront Suites have private pools. The enormous spa, with thatched pavilions by the pool, includes a balneotherapy room, two hammams and two saunas.

Meanwhile, there are six restaurants, from Thai at Blue Ginger, Italian at II Corallo or casual beachfront at la Caravelle.
