It’s an excellent choice for families. It ticks all the boxes, with a great kids and teens club ‘One Tribe’ and absolutely amazing sports facilities located in the new Club One, including a brand new state-of-the-art sports centre with Padel tennis, and a mind, body, soul studio with plenty of classes (chargeable). As an enclosed resort, it’s safe for children with a boathouse right on the water. When my boys were small, they’d spend all day in and out of the water. Water skiing is unlimited and complimentary in their protected lagoon. Sports activities include tennis, mini golf, mountain bike tours and beach volleyball, to name just a few.
Amongst the most spacious rooms in Mauritius, with views over lagoon, ocean, or sandy beach, couples should book an Ocean Room or Ocean Balcony, which are peaceful and quiet, while families should opt for a Beachfront Suite. Following a major renovation in 2017, more spacious accommodation means it’s now good for multi-generational families – so bring the grandparents.
Three different restaurant choices include the wonderful Tapasake, on stilts over the water, which offers an exciting fusion of Pan Asian flavours, influenced by the ‘tapas’ of Spain.
